Frequently asked questions
Are your emergency departments open 24 hours?
Yes. Both the Medchal and Shadnagar branches are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Sundays and holidays.
Do I need an appointment for emergency care?
No. Come straight to the emergency department or call us on the way: Medchal +91 73374 49300, Shadnagar +91 96038 11102. For an ambulance in a life-threatening emergency, you can also dial 108.
What should I bring to the emergency department?
Bring the patient's photo ID, any insurance or Aarogyasri card, a list of current medicines and any recent reports. If you cannot gather these, come anyway; treatment comes first.
Is cashless treatment possible in an emergency?
Yes, for eligible insurance policies. Emergency treatment begins immediately while our insurance desk raises the pre-authorisation with your insurer.
Do you have an ICU?
Yes. Patients who need continuous monitoring are cared for in our Intensive Care Unit. Our Medchal branch also has a NICU for newborns.
When should I go to the emergency department instead of the OPD?
Go to the emergency department for chest pain, stroke signs, severe breathlessness, heavy bleeding, serious injuries, fits or a very unwell child. For ongoing problems such as a mild fever or routine follow-up, book an OPD visit.
